State or Federal Abstract of Title

A full and complete record of the chain of title and interest holders in a lease from its inception to the present date, offered on Federal, State, and Indian lands. An abstract includes all pertinent communitization and/or unitization information,  mergers, name changes, and patents on the land. Federal abstracts include historical index records and State abstracts include rights of way, grazing leases, business leases, mineral leases, and certificates of inclusion. Price is dependent upon the length and complexity of the abstract.

Federal or State Supplemental Abstract of Title

A supplemental provides all the same information as a standard abstract, except it is limited in scope to a particular time period. Order a supplemental if you've previously ordered an abstract from us and want it updated, or if you are only interested in information within a certain time frame. Price is dependent upon the length and complexity of the abstract.

Exhibit B- (Run Sheet)

Also known as a "Take-Off" or "Run Sheet", an Exhibit B provides the complete chain of title for a lease, copies of the lease and assignments, and any Miscellaneous Instruments pertaining to the operating rights or overriding royalties. Name changes are noted in the chain of title, but copies are not provided. Mortgages, mergers, and wills are not included. Price is dependent upon the length and complexity of the exhibit.

Bidding and Brokerage Services

We will bid on your behalf at State of New Mexico or Federal auctions, allowing you to maintain anonymity in the bidding process - or just skip the trip into Santa Fe. State auctions occur once a month. Federal auctions occur once per quarter.

Lease and Instrument Copies

Why drive all the way to Santa Fe just to make a few copies? We can pull, scan, and email you a copy of anything on file at the State Land Office.

Weekly Report

Our weekly newsletter contains sale results, sale notices, available land, assignments, conveyances, land office memos, expressions of interest, news articles, and a wide variety of other useful information. The weekly report can be delivered to you through mail or email.

These searches reveal any active liens against a party by the Secretary of State of New Mexico.

Our office contains unparalleled records of oil and gas leases and Miscellaneous Instruments for the State of New Mexico. Our Blue Books are a record of every Miscellaneous Instrument pertaining to any given lease - something you won't find at the State Land Office. Our Black Books are a regularly-updated index of leases on NM State Trust Lands. Call for pricing for access to these research tools as well as our copier, fax, and other office tools.
